Soldiers, these days

When do you call it time to get out of the armed services? Doesn’t matter which one you are apart of. Is it when they tell you that you are going to have a retirement and then offer you a 401K? Is it when they force you to get out because you have had too much time in the rank you have because no one will get off thier butt and take you to a board to get promoted? When do you think it is time to say, “No. I have had too much. I am tired of playing the games that need to be played to get the job done.” I don’t know. I am currently serving in the United States Army. I am enlisted. I am a Non-Commisioned Officer. I am getting ready to deploy for the 6th time. I don’t know if that is too many. But I do know that it is taking a toll on me. I have a family and it is tkaing a toll on them as well. How can I look my famiily in the eyes and tell them that at the end of the day it is going to be ok when I am not there half the time to tell them? How is it that I am supposed to make sure that there is enough of whatever is needed when it is needed at the time they need it? Just makes you think about the things that you need to take care of in life. Just some things that I need to get off my chest.

Hello world!

Tim Jessen here. Not much to say for a first post. Just getting to know the site and check it out. So many things to see and type about. Any suggestions where to start? I am drawing the biggest blank right now. Probably because this is close to the end of the longest week I have had in a couple of years. See you all later.
